FERDINAND WARNS AGAINST OVERCONFIDENCE

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has warned his side about the danger of being overconfident. The Reds have just let go of Roy Hodgson and appointed club legend Kenny Dalglish to take the reins of the Merseyside outfit until the end of the Football season, at which point a permanent appointment is expected to be made.

Now the former Leeds United centre-half insists that the problems that the club have faced in recent times will be of no consequence during the 90-minute battle at Old Trafford.

"Sunday will be spicy because it's Liverpool and their problems will have no bearing on the result," said Ferdinand, according to The News of the World.
