RIO CAN’T WAIT

Rio Ferdinand has said that he is desperately waiting for the Premier League match against the arch rivals Liverpool which is going to be played on 13th of January at Old Trafford.

This is going to be the second match between these two teams in this season. They had taken on each other in September as well. In that match, United had defeated Liverpool by 2-1.

When asked about the match against Liverpool, Ferdinand said, “It is going to be a huge game for us. I am desperately waiting for that match. We are arch rivals with them and whenever we play against them, we want to win at any cost. We just don’t want to get defeated by Liverpool.”

“There is a lot of history associated with Manchester United Vs Liverpool games. There have been some great games played between these two teams in the past.”

“We beat them earlier in the season and they will come hard at us. But, the kind of potential we have got, if we keep our cool and play sensibly, there is no reason why can’t beat them again.”

Ferdinand’s contract with Manchester United is going to finish at the end of the ongoing season and the reports suggest that Ferdinand hasn’t been offered a new contract by the United management yet. Ferdinand has been getting lucrative offers from China and Russia. But, according to the reports, Ferdinand doesn’t want to leave United and if he is offered a new contract, he will gleefully accept it.

When Ferdinand was asked whether he wants to join any foreign club or he wants to continue playing for United, Ferdinand said, “As I had said before, I don’t want to think about contract issues at this stage of the season. I will think about it after a few months, but, not now. This is a very important stage of the season and at this point of time; the only thing that I want to focus on is my game.”
