Rio Ferdinand stated that he asked a few people at Everton about Van De Beek and they have been impressed with his standards despite the fact that he has barely spent three weeks at the club.

Donny Van De Beekwas one of the standout players in the young Ajax Amsterdam team that stunned European football by reaching the semi-finals during the 2018/19 season as far as Champions League football is concerned. The youthful Ajax side eliminated teams such asReal Madrid and Juventus before they were knocked out by Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur via the away goals rule.

Dutch national team player Van De Beek spent one more season at Ajax Amsterdam before he signed for Manchester United at the start of last season. At Manchester United, he was unable to force his way into thestarting XI under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer until he was sacked this season. His status remained the same underĀ  caretaker manager Michael Carrick and then interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Donny VanĀ  De Beek made the decision to leave Manchester United for Everton on loan last month in a bid to play football on a regular basis and he has started well. The Dutchman was one of the best players as Everton beat Leeds United 3-0 at home in the Premier League last season to move five points clear of Norwich City who are third from bottom. Van De Beek had earlier made his Everton debut during the away game with Newcastle United which ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Toffees.
